Radar overlay functionality provides connection of ECS to vessels radar system therefore enabling display of radar image layer over electronic charts.

Conditionally, assuming that radar is capable of providing basic signals (most of radars) the ECS is connected to extract radar echo and present it on the electronic chart as an additional layer.
