The new convenient onboard SPOS weather and weather route planning tool enables user to receive daily weather forecasts supplied by Meteo Consult through e-mail.

By presenting latest forecast on ECS, navigators can efficiently select the route which ensures pleasant navigation through calm seas avoiding rain showers, storms or heavy wind.

The SPOS permits:

• Receiving of 9 days forecast with world-wide coverage
• Importing roots from Transas ECS to SPOS
• Subscribing, receiving and displaying of weather forecast twice per day
• Calculation of various routes taking into account weather conditions
• Comparision of routes results
• Creation of optimal routes and their export to Transas ECS
• Saving of best route as the voyage plan with daily update
